Ledger Live: Sawing through the environmental debate
The Star-Ledger’s Brian Donohue attempted to break down the three gubernatorial candidates’ positions on environmental issues this week using a handy hacksaw. Disclaimer: He told us the trees (in his yard) had to be cut down anyway.
Last night at Rider University, Daggett — the sapling — pledged to push for a permanent source of open-space funds and greater efficiency in the DEP’s permit process, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. A poll released yesterday by a Raleigh, N.C. pollster found him in the double digits, with 13 percent of the vote. Still a long shot. Christie remains in the lead.
