Businesses along Lake Hopatcong say the Department of Environmental Protection mishandled a five-year drawdown that has depleted the lake and their profits. A lawsuit filed by a dozen marinas and restaurants against the DEP was transferred Friday to a state appeals court. The lake is nearly three feet lower than it should be at this time of year, says the Daily Record.
