Senate panel approves 2nd term for Jeanne Fox

The Senate Judiciary Committee voted today to give Jeanne Fox another six-year term as president of the state Board of Public Utilities. The vote was 7-4, along party lines.

Fox has been criticized for setting up a sketchy bank account for the state’s clean energy program and failing to oversee ratepayer funds, among other things. Supporters point to her push for more renewable energy.

The full Senate is scheduled to vote on Fox’s second term March 16.
