Environmentalists to meet today on open space

Environmentalists will be calling on Gov. Corzine today to renew funding for open space programs in New Jersey.

Jeff Tittel of the Sierra Club and members of the Nature Conservancy, Greater Newark Conservancy, Preservation New Jersey and the New Jersey Farm Bureau, all part of a coalition called New Jersey Keep it Green, will gather at the State House at noon to release a letter pressing Corzine on the issue.
