Paper: Jackson tapped for EPA post

Lisa Jackson, the DEP chief-turned-chief of staff (starting Dec. 1), has been chosen to co-chair Barack Obama’s transition group overseeing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, according to the Star-Ledger. No official announcement has been made yet.

The paper says its information comes from three New Jersey Democrats familiar with internal discussions. Those sources told the paper this would mean Jackson is shortlisted for the position of EPA administrator, a role she has reportedly wanted for some time.
