Monk parakeets, tricolored herons and Egyptian geese are spending time in the Meadowlands, and the N.J. Meadowlands Commission hopes you will too.

To that end, it has launched a blog with photos and videos of Meadowlands plants, birds, butterflies and other creatures.

To contribute a bird sighting or event, e-mail commission member Jim Wright: jim.wright [at] njmeadowlands.gov.
