Heat breaks records
Hawthorne set a new heat record today — temperatures climbed to 99 degrees, one more degree than the former record for June 7, set in 1925.
Ringwood also broke a record (an unofficial one) with a temperature of 95.
Normally, temperatures in this areas at this time of year are in the high 70s. However, heat waves aren’t out of the ordinary, according to a New York meteorologist (via the Record).
