Judge won’t reconsider Highlands suit
A state judge today said he won’t reconsider his dismissal of a lawsuit that challenges the constitutionality of the Highlands Act, the Star-Ledger is reporting.
Superior County Judge Paul Innes tossed out the suit, by the Warren County freeholders and nine farmers from Warren, Hunterdon and Morris Counties, in January. The Highlands Act restricts development; the freeholders and landowners say the restrictions have devalued land without giving compensation. Their lawyers vowed to appeal today’s decision.
