Panel: Relax environmental rules for builders
A report prepared for the Department of Community Affairs recommends the state’s environmental rules be eased to pave the way (so to speak) for more building, according to the Star-Ledger.
The report, by a subcommittee of the DCA’s Housing Policy Task Force, says the playing field needs to be leveled in order to build the affordable housing Gov. Corzine has promised.
DCA Commissioner Joseph Doria is pro this idea, but told the Ledger the report “is for discussion only.” There will apparently be more in tomorrow’s paper.
